I am addicted to painting. It allows me to explore, express, engage, create and envision. I began painting traffic as a way to cope with my feelings after witnessing an accident, and that led me into an exploration of the city…its’ excitement, solidity and the contrast between the man made and the natural world. My work focuses on the world around me…whether it’s the stillness and dignity of a solitary fisherman, the delicacy and drama of a flower or the fluidity of boats and their reflections. All of this allows me to express something of my excitement for and connection with life.
