Sebastian Hushbeck
Ceramic Sculpture
Sebastian Hushbeck’s vessels are made of ceramic and fired multiple times in an oxidation atmosphere. The process is labor intensive, but it achieves great textural depth without muddying the color. “There is something about writing out the layers of my life that makes me irritable. It is a story of tangents that are ever illuminating and fading, and it is private. What is said through the work, what is desired is engagement and imagination.”
