Susan Hunt-Wulkowicz
Hand-Colored Etchings, Lithographs
Susan Hunt-Wulkowicz creates copper plate etchings and lithographs featuring rural places that are imaginary or composites of her own belongings and
memories. Her formal training in etching consists of four lessons at a studio, after which she decided to create her own methods by trial and error. She bought her first press and began to work. She uses traditional techniques, and
all the colors other than that of the printing ink are applied after the ink is dry. “The most important influence on my imagery was the wealth of beautiful illustrations I enjoyed as a child.”
